Two Escape Early Morning House Fire

Hamilton County firefighters battled a house fire on Watercrest Drive. Itis near Harrison Bay State Park. The fire started around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. A neighbor says he called 9-1-1 after seeing a fire on the porch. He says he went next door and woke the husband and wife up. The homeowner was able to save several motorcycles that were in a garage. The Highway 58 Fire Department responded as smoke was shooting through he roof. The Tri-Community Fire Department provided assistance on the scene. The fire is under investigation
