Fire rips through a home Sunday morning in East Ridge.

Nobody was home at the time. Neighbors called 9-1-1, and when firefighters got there they found the half of the house was on fire.

They were able to keep the fire from spreading, but the entire house was heavily damaged by smoke and heat. Damage is estimated to be at least 50-thousand dollars.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the blaze.
