Four Busted on I-75
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Four people face multiple drugs charges after they were stopped on I-75 in Bradley County. Drug Enforcement Unit detectives conducting interdiction on I-75 Wednesday afternoon said they observed a 2002 Mercedes with Georgia registration following dangerously close to a tractor trailer truck.
The detectives stopped the Mercedes and said they could smell marijuana coming from the car.
A spokesperson says the subjects gave officers consent to search was given and detectives found a number of baggies containing marijuana and one baggie with a white powder that field tested as ecstasy.
The four people are charged with possession of schedule I drugs for resale, possession of marijuana for resale, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
They are Depal Arun Patel, 26, Chrysae Renae Robinson, 23, both of Lithia Springs, Ga., Michael Lee Gray, 25, and Leigh Ashley Baldwin, 21, both of Winston, Ga.
Patel is additionally charged with following too close.
They are due back in court on November 3rd.
