Chattanooga Representative "Arrested" for Delivering Water

Georgia State Senator Jeff Mullis and a representative from the Mayor's office dressed like Davy Crockett were 'arrested' when they tried to deliver water to the Georgia state capitol this morning.

The handcuffs were a joking response to the City of Chattanooga's decision to help the water situation by delivering donated bottled water. Mullis and Matt Lee, dressed up like Davy Crockett were dubbed 'Co-Conspirators' in the effort.

Mayor Ron Littlefield proclaimed today "Give Our Georgia Friends a Drink Day". It was in response to the effort in Atlanta to move the Georgia boundary north by a mile to the 35th parallel.

This would give Georgia access to the Tennessee River which Georgia says will help their drought situation.

City Councilman Manny Rico also made the trip to Atlanta today because he represents the St. Elmo area. He says moving the border would be "too chaotic."
