Georgia Family Wins the Mega Millions Jackpot
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ATLANTA (AP) - A west Georgia family is the winner of the unclaimed $133 million Mega Millions jackpot. Lottery officials say Frank M. Skinner and his wife, Phyllis D. Skinner, and their three children claimed their prize Thursday.
The Carrollton residents said they didn't step up immediately when the winning numbers were announced Aug. 29 because they wanted to consult financial advisers first.
Phyllis Skinner bought the winning ticket at a Chevron station in Mableton just north of Atlanta in Cobb County. The Skinners have not said what they plan to do with their winnings.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington state. The twice-weekly drawing is done in Atlanta.
