It took until about 1 am Tuesday morning but the Chattanooga City Council rejected an appeal by former Chattanooga police officer Laurence Goodine.
Goodine had been accused of stealing money during traffic stops. However he was found "Not Guilty" of all criminal charges.
After 16 hours on testimony however, the Council decided not to give Laurence Goodine his job back.
Internal Affairs showed evidence, included dashcam video, of improper searches, procedure and what they described as "untruthfulness."
Goodine and his attorney say they will appeal the Council's decision to Chancery Court.
