Gubernatorial Candidates in Chattanooga
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Hamilton County Democratic Party’s annual Estes Kefauver Dinner will be held Monday evening, November 16, in the Imperial Ballroom of the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Dinner Co-Chairs are Donna Knowles Killian and State Senator Andy Berke.
“The focus of this year’s dinner is jobs and economic recovery, a topic of particular interest to the citizens of Hamilton County,” said Hamilton County Democratic Party Chairman Jeff Brown. “The dinner will kick off the 2010 election cycle, which will feature pivotal races for the County Commission, County Mayor and the Court House, for Governor and the Tennessee House and Senate, and for the 3rd Congressional District.”
The five candidates vying for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination are slated to speak at the dinner – Nashville businessman Ward Cammack, State Senators Roy Herron of Dresden and Jim Kyle of Memphis, former State legislator Kim McMillan of Clarksville, and Jackson businessman Mike McWherter. A straw poll will be taken at the conclusion of the evening.
Registration starts at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online at www.hcdp.us/kefauver, or by calling the Hamilton County Democratic Party at 266-4125.
