Overnight Violence
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Dayton, Tennessee police have now charged a man with beating Carlos "Cotton" McCuiston to death following what some describe as a "drunken brawl."
Chief Chris Sneed tells us William Thomas Minton, of Evensville, is now charged with criminal homicide after being held in the Rhea County Jail for questioning Thursday.
McCuiston's friend Brook Dunaway told us when she heard the news about what happened "my heart stopped, I couldn't believe it."

In the meantime, in Chattanooga, police are investigating two shootings. The first happened last night on East Brainerd Road.
Sgt. Kim Noorbergen says when they answered an alleged robbery call, investigators found one person with a gunshot wound to the hand.
Now, they're trying to figure out what happened.
Then, early this morning, Chattanooga Police were called to Hardy Street on a shooting. When they arrived, officers found one victim with at least two gunshot wounds.
Sgt. Noorbergen says officers chased a suspect from the scene, but lost him around Hickory Street.
The victim was taken to Erlanger -- there's no word right now on his identity or condition.
And in Red Bank, police there are investigating an overnight stabbing.
It happened on Lyndon Avenue off Dayton Boulevard at the Buckingham Apartments.
There is very little information right now -- but we do know the victim has been taken to Erlanger Medical Center with stab wounds.
