Nursing Home Suspension Lifted
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The suspension of admissions has been lifted for the Etowah Health Care Center.
On November 21st, the 120-bed Etowah facility was ordered not to admit any new residents during its investigation into complaints that Joyce Stanley abused a resident at the facility.
She has been charged with abuse and fired from her job as a nurse's assistant.
The state Department of Health says the facilities have returned to compliance for state licensing purposes and that deficient practices and conditions have been corrected.
