Pedestrian Hit and Killed Early Monday Morning

Newschannel 9 has just confirmed a 61-year-old man has died after he apparently walked into oncoming traffic. The man was hit and killed just after 5 am Monday on Highway 27 in Rhea County.
No charges will be filed against the 23-year-old driver, who's from Roane County. Officers are working to contact the victim's family before releasing his name.
