Kayakers Spend the Night on River Ledge

Two kayakers, caught in the rising flood waters, had to spend the night on a ledge before making it to safety Wednesday morning.

The Murray County Fire Department says the kayakers were from Polk County, and were in the Conasauga River Tuesday when the water got too rough and it became too dark..

We're told the men swam across the river in their life jackets Wednesday morning and managed to make it to a nearby house..

The men are experienced kayakers and they're both okay.
