Hunters Donate to Community Kitchen, Again
A new Hobart meat grinder was donated today to the Chattanooga Community Kitchen by the Chattanooga Area Chapter of Safari Club (SCI). Shipped to the Chapter by the Safari Club International Foundation (SCIF) for delivery to the kitchen, it was installed today by the Chapter.
Area SCI President, Bill Swan, was delivering a truckload of clothing to the Kitchen the same day the Kitchen’s current grinder quit working. Knowing the urgency of the situation, the SCIF was contacted along with the National President, Dr Larry Rudolph. With the help of all involved, the new Hobart grinder became a reality for the Kitchen.
Jen Christensen, Marketing Director for the Kitchen, said that once again the SCI Chapter has stepped up to meet their urgent needs. The Chapter purchased a new $2500 steam table for the Kitchen earlier this year.
The Hobart grinder, worth $3,800, and was purchased with help from a local business and several SCI members from other areas who stepped up with monetary donations.
