Elder Law 101 at the Jewish Cultural Center
Want to navigate the long-term care maze? Have questions about legal documents, long-term care planning, Medicare and Medicaid, or Veterans Administration benefits? Elder Law 101 is an informational meeting for you! The Jewish Federation will host a sandwich lunch and a presentation by attorney Dana Perry as part of the Caregivers Support Group on Sunday, August 8 at noon. The event costs $7.00, includes a sandwich lunch, and is open to everyone regardless of religious affiliation.
Perry is the only attorney in Chattanooga certifies as an Elder Law Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. Licensed to practice in Tennessee and Georgia, Perry maintains an active elder law and special needs law practice which includes long-term care planning, assistance with Medicaid, and the drafting and administration of supplemental needs trusts.
Perry is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for elder law and trusts and estates. She is a frequent speaker on estate planning and elder law topic and has been named a fellow in the Tennessee Bar Foundation. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Chattanooga Estate Planning Council, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Special Needs Planners, the American and Chattanooga Bar Associations, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Perry is the recent past chair of the Elder Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association.
