Jack Owens, an athletic trainer with Marion County schools, is under arrest, charged with a variety of sex crimes.

According to a detective with the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Owens faces the following charges involving a juvenile under the age of 16:

-- statutory rape
-- solicitation of a minor to commit statutory rape
-- statutory rape by an authority figure
-- exploitation of a minor by electronic means
-- carrying a weapon on school property

Owens is being held at the Marion County Jail.
