The Dade County Sheriff's Department needs your help finding a Walker County woman who they say has been missing for almost two days.
Judy Payne's husband tells investigators he last saw her Monday morning before she left for work, but he says, she never came home.
Authorities are continuing their search in Cloudland Canyon Park Tuesday night - that's where Payne's car was found late Monday night.
So far authorities say foul play is not involved. But we spoke with one of Payne's close friends today and she says Payne is very family oriented and would not disappear unless something was wrong.
Search dogs comb Cloudland Canyon State Park for any sign of 45 year old Judy Payne. The dogs are using the scents off Payne's clothes to try to find her and we're told Tuesday night's rain actually helped.
A park ranger found Payne's black Mazda Miata around 10:30 Monday night inside the park. The G.B.I. took that vehicle and Payne's husband's truck into custody. A number of other agencies are on the scene but there is not an ambulance. We're told that's because the search teams are first-aid trained and they'll call an ambulance if Payne is found.
The Department of Natural Resources brought in a helicopter because the park is just under three thousand, five hundred acres. So sas they search by air and ground the rescuers are trying to hone in on the places where Payne might likely be.
And while rescuers are working hard the Department of Natural Resources, which owns the park, is asking for everyone to keep an eye out for Payne who is 5'2, a 140 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
And Payne's friends says she also has two tattoos - she has a green m&m on her stomach and a tattoo of a dolphin between her shoulder blades.
Authorities also searched a hang gliding park on Lookout mountain today because they tell us Payne visited that park before and liked the view.
The search dogs will continue looking for her throughout Tuesday tonight and the ground troops will be back in the morning.
