Memorial Set for Murdered SAU Student
Southern Adventist University students, faculty, staff, and others will gather to remember the life of Kirsten Wolcott. Wolcottwas murdered while serving as a missionary on the island of Yap in Micronesia.
“We want to remember our fallen soldier whose life was taken as she was on a mission,” notes Brennon Kirstein, Southern Adventist University Chaplain.
Wolcott, who was volunteering as a second grade teacher on the 16-mile island, was murdered during a morning jog on November 18. She had been taking a year off from her studies at Southern where she was a junior liberal arts major.
The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 2, 7 p.m. at the Collegedale, Tenn. Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4829 College Drive East, Collegedale
The service will be streamed live on Southern'sweb site for those who are not able to attend in person.
