Child With Terminal Cancer Gets His Wish

A child with terminal cancer is about to take the trip of a life time, thanks to the Make a Wish Foundation.

"I just turned this," Nash Norris says while holding up four fingers. "How many is that?" NewsChannel9 Reporter Will Carr asks. "Four!" Nash says with a big smile.

Nash just turned four years old. He loves power rangers and games. In fact, when we first met Nash he quickly pulled out his favorite puzzle and started playing.

"This one like goes there," he says while smoothly placing a puzzle piece in place.

At first glance, Nash is just like any other four year old. But beneath the surface, he has a rare tumor on his spinal cord and is battling terminal cancer.

"You just never want your kid to have to go through something like that, like the whole time you're thinking it should be me and it shouldn't be him," Nash's mom, Robin Norris, says.

Norris says up to this point Nash's condition has puzzled doctors, and so far no treatment has been the right fit. But even with the pain, Nash has continued to beg his mom to go somewhere special.

"Disney World and Sea World," Nash says while spinning around. "To see the killer whales!"

Nash fell in love with killer whales after watching Free Willy. That's when the Make A Wish Foundation and Keller Williams stepped in and raised enough money for Nash and his entire family to experience the trip of a lifetime.

"Oh and don't forget dolphins oh and sharks that got red eyes and we get to pet the sting rays," Nash screams.

Nash and his family leave for their trip to Disney and Sea World on Monday and will stay until next Sunday.

And as excited as Nash is about the trip, today he received another special surprise.

"Whoa, whoa!" Nash says while looking outside his window at a row of cars with balloons.

You see his favorite color is red and his favorite car is a corvette. So this superman took quite a ride. A red corvette took Nash to a place where wishes do really come true. Surrounded by a host of friends and supporters, the Make A Wish Foundation and Keller Williams threw a party for Nash which included whales, whales, and well yes, more whales.

His mom says that today and their upcoming trip are the perfect fit for a heartbreaking situation.

"So we're not sitting here worried about his MRA scans and worrying about something, we're looking forward to something, it's the most amazing thing," Norris says.

"Thank you!" Nash says with a big smile.
