Nashville Girl Killed in Home Invasion

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A girl has been killed during a home invasion in Nashville.  The 12-year-old was shot inside the home she shared with her grandmother, according to WTVF-TV.  Police said the incident occurred early Thursday in a neighborhood near the downtown area of the city.  Police did not immediately reveal how many men entered the home, but said the intruders came in through a back door and fired shots.  The girl was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her name wasn't immediately released.
