Saturday morning Chattanooga police got a call about a fight at party. When they arrived they learned the unexpected happened and 807 Dodds Avenue became a crime scene.
All three of the victims, Joel-Lopez Escobar, Marvin-Lopez Velazquez and Edwin-Lopez Velazquez.
were taken to Erlanger. Joel-Lopez Escobar died ...another is in critical condition...
Today we spoke to Sergeant Rick Mincy, Spokesperson for the Chattanooga Police Department who says police believe there was a fight and tempers got out of control.
"They were all sitting around drinking and I guess tempers flared when there is alcohol involved I guess you get into arguments or whatever and I guess it turned into a pretty good fight," says Sergeant Rick Mincy.
Police are using clues from the house to prove that theory...much of the crime scene is outside of the house near two cars parked in the back. Mincy says when police arrived on the scene they tried to question several people at the house. He says those people could not answer questions because they were too drunk.
After several hours those witnesses are now being questioned by Chattanooga Police.
"Its not your average disorder call but a lot of fight calls do come in here. This time a year people sit outside on the porch they drink alcohol and one thing leads to another," says Mincy.
Chattanooga Police Department say, three men have been charged. Josue-Lopez Escobar with criminal homicide,
Marvin-Lopez Velazquez and Edwin-Lopez Velazquez have been charged with Accessory After the Fact.
