Plea Reached in Child Sex Case
A man who US Marshal's helped locate in Sequatchie County took a plea deal on a lesser charge. Fidias Anton,27, was originally wanted for the child rape of a 9-year-old girl. He admitted to criminal attempt of aggravated child abuse.
The judge sentenced him to five years, 201 days. He is in federal custody.
Last year detectives were searching for him and he was illegally in the country from Guatemala. They used tracking equipment to find him living on Fredonia Mountain. They found him living with several other people.
Investigators say the girl came forward saying the suspected sex crimes, happened between the summer of 2006 and February of 2007.
Prosecutors dropped accessory charges against Tiffany Hawkins and Erica Flores.
Sergio Anton pled no contest and got an 11 month, 29 day sentence, suspended on time served
