Police Catch Seven Women In Prostitution Sting

Police nab seven women in a prostitution sting and now neighbors say they're fed up with a problem that's not going away.
Some of these women have been arrested a number of times for prostitution. People who live in the area say they want to clean their neighborhood up and get rid of the drugs, violence, and crime that comes along with prostitution.
"It can be very frustrating because you see them walking up and down main street and usually theres a pimp nearby and people don't need to see that, this area is revitalizing and nobody wants to see that," Jay Craven says.
But Jay Craven says he sees prostitution on a regular basis in his neighborhood just off Main Street.
This comes after police busted seven women in the Main Street area in a prostitution sting, charging several for prostitution within a mile and a half of a school.
"It's usually the same women, people around here pretty much know who they are at this point," Craven says.
And two familiar faces belong to Sharon King and Felicia Moorer, both arrested in the sting for obstructing a highway. Police say Moorer is a known prostitute, so we decided to pull her rap sheet and found out she's been nabbed nine times for prostitution and eleven for obstructing a highway.
"This is ludicrous she's been arrested this many times and she was arrested again yesterday," Craven says.
And Craven says prostitutes like Moorer bring drugs, violence, and shady characters into his neighborhood.
"One of my friends wife a john tried to pick her up when she was watering her garden and they called the police and they picked him up a couple of streets over with a prostitute," Craven says.
And that's why Craven wants to see these women serve more time when they're busted and leave his neighborhood once and for all.
"Go somewhere else go somewhere where people don't care because we do," Craven says.
The two women charged with obstructing a roadway will appear in court on May 13th, the other women are set to appear in court at the end of the month.
