Jackson County, Ala. authorities have arrested a man for the murder of his own father and brother.

They say that Douglas B. Pyke, 37, shot and killed his father, Ted Pyke, 71, and his brother, Greg Pyke, 39.

Jackson County Sheriff Dennis Miller said, "A family member reported Ted Pyke and Greg Pyke (the two murder victims) missing on Thursday. Deputies soon suspected this was more than a missing persons case."

An Alabama forensics team worked late into the night in the area of County Road 489 near Bryant, Ala.

The sheriff said they are not releasing information regarding the suspected motive for the double-murder. The district attorney says no bond will be set for Pyke.

The Sheriff says they believe they have recovered the murder weapon, a pistol.

He said while the investigation continues, they don't believe anyone else was involved other than Doug Pyke.
