Ice Cream Recalled
JACKSON, Miss (AP) - Tennessee-based Mayfield Dairy Farms is recalling half-gallon paper cartons of its Vanilla Classic Ice Cream.
The 250 units are being recalled because there are pecans in theproduct that were not listed on the label. They were sold inAlabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida.
The pecans could pose a danger to people who are allergic to nuts.
The containers being recalled are labeled with the date 01/30/09 and a universal product code number of 7524320144.
Officials with the Athens, Tenn.-based company said Thursday that consumers can return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange.
