Investigation into Stolen Medical Records

Officials say the F-B-I is investigating the theft of medical records of patients at Grady Memorial Hospital.

A Grady spokesperson provided few details on the thefts yesterday.

They were discovered late Thursday.

Officials say it wasn't known how many patient records were stolen, which patients were affected or how the records were stolen.

The missing records were kept on computer files.

Grady officials do not believe the records contained Social Security numbers or financial information about patients.
