A former spokesperson and a Sergeant for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has died.  Sgt. Dusty Stokes has succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was 36 years old.  He served Hamilton County and its residents for a number of years and leaves behind a wife and young son.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7th from 1-4 and 6-8 pm at Bayside Baptist Church.  The church is located at 6100 Highway 58, Harrison, Tennessee and again and on Wednesday from 11 am until 1 pm at the church. A masonic memorial service will be conducted at 8 pm Tuesday. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.

Services are set for 1 pm at Bayside Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 8th, 2009   Stokes will buried at the New McDonald Cemetery in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
