Christian Motorcyclists Get Ready to Ride

The Chattanooga chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association will be leading their monthly chapter ride on Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Leaving at 10 a.m. from the Sportsman's Warehouse parking lot on Lee Highway, the ride will take a 95-mile route that will go throughout the Tennessee Valley. The ride will cross 3 mountains and then end at White Oak Park in Red Bank.

When the ride ends at the the park the riders will be treated to a free cookout from CMA. "This is our way of saying thank you to the motorcycle community" said chapter president Harry T. Stone.

Bikers on all brands of bikes are welcome. "We want to invite all riders to join us for this fun and scenic ride and cookout" said Stone .

The Chattanooga CMA Road Captain, Wayne Polk, will be leading the ride which is the sixth in a series of monthly rides to expose others to the ministry of CMA and to have visitors come and enjoy a fun afternoon of motorcycle riding. The ride will return to Chattanooga in the early afternoon and is suited for all types of riders from beginners on up, according to the CMA road captain.

The ride and cookout are free to motorcyclists, and no registration is required however, motorcycle groups of 20 or more are asked to call ahead. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and soda will be served.

CMA is an inter-denominational outreach Ministry of over 130,000 members and 920 chapters in the United States. The Chattanooga chapter (Choo-Choo Wheels of Worship) has over 50 members. There are area chapters in Chattanooga, Cleveland, Dayton, Athens, Dalton and Lafayette.
