Energize East Ridge Holds Grand Opening
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The community coalition Energize East Ridge will host an open house at its new headquarters this Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Osborne Center at 3734 Ringgold Road. The event will feature free food, door prizes and a live broadcast from WGOW Talk Radio. The open house offers an opportunity for residents and members of surrounding communities to engage in the ongoing revitalization of East Ridge.
"This open house is a great opportunity for area citizens to openly communicate about the direction of our city and to gain valuable information about the projects we are currently putting into place," said Energize East Ridge President Greg Ezell. "We have successfully facilitated community cleanup around Exit 1, held steering committees and provided short and long term goals based on the direct feedback from our residents. We want to keep the momentum going as we work toward meeting the goals set by the community."
Energize East Ridge is an ongoing conversation between the citizens, City government, business owners and the leaders in surrounding cities with the goal of providing direction for the city's growth. Energize East Ridge developed out of a series of community meetings in which citizens were able to directly impact the city's long term revitalization plans.
"This isn't just an internal project for the citizens of East Ridge," Mr. Ezell said. "We want feedback from our neighboring municipalities and from those who may be looking to move to the area. It's a great time to get to know all about the things going on in East Ridge."
