Rossville Motorcyclist Killed in East Ridge Crash

Samuel James, 53, of Rossville, Ga. was killed early Saturday morning when his motorcycle crashed in East Ridge. His passenger, and unidentified woman, received minor injuries, according to a spokesperson with the East Ridge Fire and Rescue.
It happened about 3 am at the intersection of Spring Creek Road and San Hsi Drive. Police found James' Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle crashed. Firefighters and EMS personnel began life saving measures on James, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
East Ridge Police Traffic Officers are continuing their investigation into the accident.
According to East Ridge Public Safety Director Eddie Phillips, both speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the single vehicle crash.
