Rockslide Forces Another Road Closure
Comments 0Rampant rockslides are forcing Tennessee Valley drivers to detour.
The latest rockslide happened Saturday evening on Lookout mountain on Scenic Highway.
Two large boulders fell onto the roadway, and while they're not blocking it right now, authorities don't want any other traffic on the road until they've moved them.
This follows the closing of the main road up Signal Mountain. Road crews are repairing a lane of Signal Mountain Blvd that washed away this week during the storms Traffic will be rerouted to the "W" Road and Roberts Mill Road.
Signal Mountain Road will reopen at 6 A-M Monday.
