Teacher Charged With Statutory Rape

FENTRESS COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVC-TV) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a teacher on statutory rape charges after she was indicted by the Fentress County Grand Jury today.
Lindsey Seymour, 27, 1309 Model Farm Road, Allardt, TN was indicted on 8 counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.
According to the TBI, the incidents between Seymour and the 16-year-old male victim all took place between June 2009 and September 2009. The District Attorney General requested TBI to open an investigation on September 23, 2009. Seymour was employed as a teacher at Alvin C. York Institute in Jamestown.
A court date of November 9, 2009 has been set for Seymour’s first appearance.
