Five Downtown Chattanooga Businesses Fail Underage Alcohol Sting

Five Chattanooga businesses failed "compliance checks" according to the Chattanooga Police Department Regulatory Bureau and the Hamilton County Anti-Drug Coalition.

They groups conducted a series of compliance checks of businesses serving alcohol in the downtown area on Friday, June 20. Police sent an under-aged girl into 15 locations
where she attempted to purchase beer. Ten of those businesses checked he ID and refused the sale but five businesses made the sale. They will be cited to the Chattanooga Beer Board on a later date.

The 5 that allegedly failed the check were:

  • Big River Grill 222 Broad Street
  • Blue Water 224 Broad Street
  • Deluxe Bar and Tap 807 Market Street
  • Hair of the Dog 334 Broad Street
  • Nightfall Concert Series Miller Plaza

The Businesses that passed the check were:

  • Big Chill 427 Market Street
  • Buffalo Wild Wings 507 Broad Street
  • Chili's 408 Market Street
  • Easy Seafood 203 Broad Street
  • Market Street Tavern 850 Market Street
  • Mellow Mushroom 205 Broad Street
  • Raw 409 Market Street
  • Rio Picante 203 West 2nd Street
  • Taco Mac 423 Market Street
  • TGI Fridays 2 Broad Street
