Reward Offered For Top 10 Crook Who Swindled Sweetwater Car Dealer
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has positively identified the latest addition to the list of TBI's Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives.
The professional con man was previously listed on the Top Ten as "John Doe" with numerous aliases. He has been identified as Todd Joseph Sweet, an escapee from the Michigan Department of Corrections.
Sweet, 34, of Muskegon, MI, walked away from work detail while serving time in the Kinross Correctional Facility in the Upper Peninsula in May of 2007. He was serving time for larceny and fraud and had previously been incarcerated for carrying a concealed weapon.
Sweet is wanted for Theft over $60,000 in the state of Tennessee for a scheme involving swindling automobiles from a Sweetwater, TN car dealership.
MDOC describes Sweet as 5'8" weighing 230 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has tattoos on both arm and scars on his right knee and ankle and left leg.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Todd Joseph Sweet is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. There's a $1,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
