Man Arrested Naked in Refrigerator
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A U.S. marshal testified that the man charged in the 2003 abduction-slaying of an Atlanta restaurant owner was hiding naked in a refrigerator and holding a knife when he was arrested.
Now a supervisory U.S. marshal in Atlanta, James Ergas testified Tuesday as the federal death penalty trial of Rejon Taylor started its second week in Chattanooga.
Ergas told jurors that he and other officers in November 2003 determined where Taylor was staying in DeKalb County, Georgia. Ergas said they located the then-19-year-old Taylor "naked with a knife" in a kitchen refrigerator and removed him.
Testimony at Taylor's trial is expected to continue through this week. He is charged with abducting restaurant owner Guy Luck and the fatal shooting of Luck near Chattanooga.
Officials have said the motive was robbery.
