5th Annual Mud Run in Chattanooga
The 5th Annual Chattanooga mud run was Saturday!
This muddy event was held at Greenway Farms, a 180-acre city park located in Hixson.
And NewsChannel 9 photojournalist Gary Ainsworth was there to see how it turned out.
"I guess you get out there playing in the mud and get carried away," Chase Jones, running for Dalton State Cheerleaders, said. "And, I've always liked playing in the mud since i was little, so… a lot of fun for me. I figured why not get it all over you if you're gonna do it so.
I've never done a mud run before, but i'm glad i did it. It was a lot of fun.
Be on a team, compete as a team and play in the mud all day. Can't get much better than that."
Frankenberry, captain crunch, tony the tiger, lucky and crackle:
"In the past we've done fast food mascots, three years ago, we did we wrestlers, so, I don't know. I think it was a joint effort. I don't know how we came up with this one.
It was a grrrrreat idea!"
Waldo, waldo, waldo, waldo, waldo and waldo:
"I think it's two reasons, man. First and foremost, anytime you can support a great cause that's number one. And, anytime you can wear cut off jean shorts."
