Komen "Race for the Cure" Turns 15
The Susan G Komen Race for the Cure is celebrating its 15 year anniversary.
In that time, we've learned women aren't the only ones diagnosed with cancer.
One male cancer survivor jokes that's not such a bad thing.
Clarence Willingham is a breast cancer survivor.
He is also one of fifteen cancer survivors in Chattanooga who will
be at an anniversary party Thursday afternoon.
It will be held that the Hunter Museum.
Willingham says almost two years ago he felt a lump and thought it was a cyst.
"It was more than that," Willingham said."I knew in my mind and I thought, oh, man, I hope I don't have breast cancer. It was breast cancer. Everything came to me and it did not go away."
Willingham says he found strength through other people in the Komen Foundation and his faith in God.
