Mail Delivery Leads to Drug Bust
Three McMinn County men are in jail after accepting a surprise delivery through the mail.
10-pounds of marijuana were delivered to a residence on Highway 163 in Calhoun, Tennessee on Friday.
Agents with the United States Postal Service, the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force, and ICE followed the package from Mission, Texas to the home.
Tracy Bruce picked up the package, and put it inside her car. That is when officers picked her up, along with that delivery.
Bruce agreed to work with them, and deliver the package as planned.
She met Shane King, and Samuel Smith for the drop-off.
Then, the agents followed them to another home on County Road 775. There, they arrested both men, and Angel Jimenez who was at the house.
Residents said they could not believe it happened.
"First of all, I'm shocked," Amy Adams. "I can't believe that would actually go through. As a mother, it scares me."
The three men were booked into the McMinn County Justice Center and charged with conspiracy to possess a drug for resale and possession.
