Man Accussed of Murdering a Pregnant Woman was in Court
The man accused of a murdering a pregnant 19-year-old woman in California decided to fight extradition in his first court appearance in Anchorage, Alaska Tuesday.
Prosecutors say the governor of California must now ask Alaska's governor to order Christopher Lee be sent back to California.
Lee's wife, mother and other family members watched Tuesday as his bail was set at two million dollars.
A California court had issued a warrant for Lee's arrest and Anchorage police picked him up Sunday night.
The body of Erin Corwin was found Saturday at the bottom of a mine shaft in the California desert.
She was the wife of a marine.
Authorities say Lee is a former marine, and that he and Corwin were having an affair.
