Michael Jackson Anniversary
Today marks a somber anniversary.
Five years ago today, music icon Michael Jackson died.
Regarded as the King of Pop, Jackson passed away on June 25th, 2009.
He was preparing for a comeback tour at the time, and suffered from sleeping problems.
Following his death, his doctor Conrad Murray went on trial for manslaughter, after prescribing him sleeping aides.
Murray served two years of a four year sentence for involuntary manslaughter.
Harvard Sleep experts say Jackson may be the only human being to go 60 days without R-E-M sleep, with is vital to keep the brain and body alive.
