Six People Unharmed After Early Morning House Fire
Six people are displaced after an early Sunday morning fire at their Chattanooga home.
Chattanooga firefighters say the call came in at 4:42 AM. When firefighters arrived at 1814 Tunnel Boulevard they say flames were visible on most sides of the house. Lieutenant Tim Waters says the fire appears to have started in the laundry room and quickly spread up into the attic. The dollar is estimated at $20,000.
Fortunately all 6 residents escaped unharmed. Volunteers with the American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee have been called to provide assistance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
