Smokey The Bear Turns 70 Saturday
The beloved public service icon, known to many as "smokey the bear," turns 70 today.

He was created by the U.S. Forrest service, the national association of state foresters and the ad council.

His first public service poster came out on august 9th, 19-44.

And his famous slogan: "remember, only you can prevent forest fires," came later, in 19-47.Smokey The Bear Turns 70 Saturday
