Three Teens Indicted for Sexual Assault in Gilmer County
Three teenagers have been indicted by a Gilmer County, Ga. grand jury for aggravated sexual battery. Two of them also face charges of sodomy. There is also an alleged second female victim who was subject to sexually explicit images and videos taken with Chapman's iPhone. As a result, he is additionally charged with 28 counts of misdemeanor sexual exploitation of children.
The charges are the result of an alleged rape at a post-prom party on May 11.
Fields Chapman, Andrew Haynes and Damon Avery Johnson (pictured left-to-right) were seniors at Calhoun High School when the alleged assault took place.
According to the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office, the party was at a cabin near Ellijay.
Initally the victim said she wasn't sure exactly who had committed the assault. The Gilmer County sheriff said however there were at least 20 people at the party and his investigators conducted extensive interviews.
The suspects were not allowed at the Calhoun High School graduation in May.
