Spilled Paint Slows Traffic on I-24

A load of spilled paint put the brakes on interstate traffic through Chattanooga.
The truck driver hauling the paint said a sudden shift in the load caused the rig to tip, sending paint across the asphalt along I-24 near the 4th Avenue exit.
As of 6:00pm, TDOT tells NewsChannel 9 that three lanes of westbound traffic are closed which leaves just one lane open for travel.
Cleanup crews say they expect to have all four lanes of the highway open by 8pm but expect it to take a while for the traffic to resume a normal pace.
