Pedestrian Struck On Interstate 75

A Rossville man was hit by a car on Interstate 75 Thursday morning.

Sgt. Jerri Weary with the Chattanooga police department said the man was looking at a blowntire on his car when he stepped out into traffic and was hit.

The man was taken to Erlanger Hospital, where police say he is listed in serious condition. The man's name was not immediately released.

No charges will be filed against the driver who hit the man, according to Sgt. Weary.
