Apartment Fire Leaves 20 Homeless in Walker County

         A 5a.m. call put Rossville fire crews into action. Residents watched helplessly as flames  engulfed the unit 12 building of the Woodland Apartments on 1591 Park City Road in Rossivllle, GA.

         The 3 story building in question was completely destroyed and, now around 20 residents find themselves homeless. An EMS spokesperson noted that two people were taken to a near-by hospital with superficial injuries.

         Hotspots coninued to flare up and crews returned this afternoon to keep the remnants of the blaze from reigniting. Investigators have not made any statements regarding the cause of the fire.
