Broad St. to Close For Water Line Repair
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The 1100 block of Broad St. in Chattanooga will be shut down soon as Tennessee American Water Company replaces 1,200 feet of water line.
The company discovered the problem when there was a recent leak. That leak was repaired, but crews discovered that an additional 1,200 feet of 12-inch iron pipe should be replaced to ensure the continued reliable water service.
During the construction work, the 1100 block of Broad Street will remain closed to traffic. No word on how long the closure will last.
Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour signs.
Weather permitting, the street should be re-opened by Nov. 20.
