Woman Attacked By Beer Thief
A Chattanooga woman needs your help finding the person who assaulted her in a convenience store.
The attack was caught on camera when Sharon Goodner was on duty late last Friday night and a man came inside. Goodner said from the moment he came in she knew there was going to be trouble.
It all ended with a big gash above her right eye and a bruise on her cheek.
Goodner said she set up her own digital camera behind the counter and turned on the video function because she had a feeling the man's visit wasn't going to be pleasant.
The man came inside asking for a couple cartons of cigarettes, then went outside to get his check card. When he came back inside he got two 18-packs of Budweiser beer from the cooler and went to the counter.
When he knew he wouldn't get the cigarettes too he tried to grab the beer and run.
But Goodner held on the the beer, the packs opened and the cans spilled on the counter. Goodner grabbed a beer and threw it at the man as he left - he turned around and slammed a beer against her head at almost point black range.
"And when I came up I slung one at him, my only mistake was I should have kept slinging them, the only mistake I made," Goodner said.
Goodner's attacker got away in what she describes as an ugly, green colored Jeep like truck.
If you know who he is, call Chattanooga Police.
