I-75 Lane Closure
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Motorists traveling in the area of the I-75 project in Ooltewah tomorrow should expect delays. The subcontractor performing utility relocation work in the area has reached a stage where he must make several key connections between the existing gas line and the newly relocated gas line. Once work on these connections begins, the contractor must continue until all work is complete.
One of these critical connections is in westbound Lee Highway (traveling toward Hunter Road) and will require the closure of the right hand lane. This closure is currently scheduled to be on Tuesday, May 13th and is expected to last approximately ten hours. The closure is planned to start after 9:00 a.m. and will continue until all work is complete.
The work is part of the I-75 widening and improvements to the Ooltewah Interchange at Exit 11.
One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times, however motorists should plan for some delays, particularly during the afternoon hours. Travelers are asked to plan ahead and be alert for changing traffic conditions.
Should unforeseen circumstances or weather prevent any of this work from being performed, it will be rescheduled to take place as soon as possible.
