Flooded In
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A man in Bradley County saw the flooding firsthand when he looked outside into his front yard on Wednesday.
Frank Mason says he stayed up throughout the night, watching the rainwater rise from the small pond in his yard. It normally sits several yards away from his driveway, but right now it sits several feet underwater. Mason had to use either his tractor or his boat to get down his driveway.
We found several other rivers instead of roads throughout the area as well. Which is exactly why the Cleveland superintendent decided to close schools on Wednesday. Mason says he's just glad the water didn't get any higher. "Yesterday I was just afraid I'd get flooded out because it rained so hard, it filled up this area behind me real soon, real fast."
The water had already come down several feet throughout the day, and Mason hopes his driveway will once again be driveable by Thursday morning.
