Man Arrested on Child Abuse Charges

East Ridge Police have arrested a 49-year-old man accused of hitting 13 year old girls.
On Thursday March 11th at approximately 12:24am East Ridge Police responded to 5326 Bennett Rd in reference to a disorder. During the investigation Officers discovered that the children had been struck multiple times by Mr. Richard Jones who lives at the home.
Officers arrested Jones and transported him to the Hamilton County Jail. He faces two charges of Child Abuse.
Jones is scheduled to be in East Ridge Municipal Court on Tuesday March 16th at 5pm. Bond has been set at $3,000.
