Hamilton County School Enrollment Increasing
Hamilton County 20th day enrollment increases 1.3 percent over the 09/10 school year.
The enrollment figures for the 20th day of classes in Hamilton County schools shows an increase of 578 students (1.4%) over last year. The majority of the increase was at the elementary school level.
The 20th day enrollment figures are an important "benchmark" provided to the Tenn. Dept. of Education. The figures help determine how much funding each school system receives from the state each year.
Since the 07/08 school year, Hamilton County enrollment has increased by 3.3 percent.
